Supporting the return to learning.
Targeted programmes for students with persistent absence, emotionally-based school avoidance, or planned reintegration into mainstream or specialist settings.
Meeting students at the point of need
Persistent absence and emotionally-based school avoidance (EBSA) require patient, individualised responses. We have significant experience working with young people for whom attending school has become — for a range of reasons — genuinely difficult.
Our approach begins with trust-building, at the student's pace. Using the Thrive framework, we help students to regulate, to engage, and gradually to increase their confidence in learning environments.
Where reintegration into school or a new setting is the goal, we plan and support that transition carefully, in collaboration with the receiving school and the student's family.
