Alternative provision

A different setting. Real outcomes.

Full-time structured education for children and young people who need a placement outside mainstream school. Safe, purposeful, and built around each child.

What is alternative provision?

Education designed around your child's needs

Alternative provision (AP) is structured full or part-time education for children who are educated outside a mainstream school setting. This could be as a short intervention, or as a longer-term placement.

Tuition Extra is an established AP provider for Kent County Council and works with schools, local authorities and families to deliver personalised programmes that lead to real qualifications and outcomes.

Our provision covers academic, vocational, and therapeutic strands — often woven together in a single timetable built around what your child needs most.
