Learning with your hands. Growing with purpose.
At Maypole Farm and beyond, we offer vocational programmes that build real skills, practical confidence, and pathways into work, training, and further education.
Practical learning that opens real doors
For many young people, vocational learning is where things click. Working with animals, growing food, using tools, building something with their hands — these experiences build the kind of confidence that carries over into every other area of life.
Our vocational programmes are based primarily at Maypole Farm, a working site on the old Maypole Airfield near Hoath. Here, students engage with animal care, land-based skills, enterprise, horticulture, and more.
Vocational learning runs alongside academic and wellbeing strands, and can contribute to recognised qualifications including BTECs and Functional Skills.
